"My younger brother Marcus and I grew up listening to the Brecker Brothers INTENSELY... they were 2 monster horns as the front line to a highly funkified, highly electric group with interactive improvising as it's backbone, playing original music?  Sign us up!!!  I had the privilege of studying for many years with Randy Brecker in NY, and his profound influence resonates through my entire career.  So my brother and I, since we were little, have always wanted to do something similar -- 2 horn wielding DNA-connected brothers playing highly aggressive groove based original material... and that's now what the ALI BROS does -- with my own writing and arrangements as the core material, but executed with the same spirit as those killers.
